Costen Solar Farm
The Costen Solar Farm is a 13.7-megawatt (MW) commercial solar facility located near Pocomoke City in Worcester County, Maryland. The project officially completed construction and went online in February 2026 to supply clean, renewable energy to a Maryland-based healthcare system.
The facility sits on a 149-acre plot consisting primarily of agricultural fields. It features more than 34,200 photovoltaic modules mounted on a fixed-tilt racking system alongside 70 string inverters. The grid interconnection links directly to a nearby Choptank Electric Cooperative substation.

Energy Output
The facility is engineered to generate roughly 19,700 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity in its first year of operation.
The Costen Solar Farm serves as a strategic infrastructure model for decarbonizing energy-intensive institutions without forcing them to absorb massive financial risk.
The project represents a long-term partnership designed to meet regional green energy mandates and stabilize corporate utility expenditures through structured off-site generation.
